Official UT vs. Ducks Game Thread - 7:00 EDT - ESPN2

It's cool, I sounded like a douche too. I still have faith in Dooley myself and believe he has the right attitude to get us back on track...and out of handcuffs hopefully...:p

Lol. Yeah. I'd love ( or maybe not) to be in that locker room, gonna be a lot of arse chewing going on.:censored:
I'm incredibly interested to see what Dooley has to say during the Derek Dooley show tomorrow. Anyways Dooley gets it done. We knew it would take a while after the incredibly big ****hole kiffy left us in.

First half was great while it lasted. I hadn't felt that good for a while. Of course that went up in smoke in the 2nd half, but thankfully the rain delay allowed it to last just a little longer..........

THat was a tough second half, good night all. Our lack of depth really showed through vs a high tempo offense. Turning point in the game was a BS penalty call to lead to oregons td, down hill from there.

lack of depth? We quit in the third quarter NOT fourth quarter. And its not like it was 95 degree day game.

The worst play of the game for me was Janzens missed tackle for a 2 yard gain. I don't think he even touched the guy, and he should have knocked his socks off. What's up with that?

He touched him....but it was the same tackle that he had thrown earlier in the game....however, it didn't work this time. Janzen has a tendency to throw a shoulder and rely on knocking a guy off his feet. It worked the first time, the next time it turned a gain of a few yards into a 29 yard gain.

I thought Oregon looked better than any team in the SEC not named Bama today.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if we had a good showing against Florida.

Our Sophomores and Freshmen held their own for about 40 minutes against some of the best Juniors and Seniors in the nation. Oregon proved to be as explosive a team as advertised and beat us solidly. But, in the end, I'm looking forward to the future and am excited to see how our Vols grow into a competitive team.

Hey....how about this. Tonight during the first half I had Vol football emotions that have not been felt in many years. My pulse raced, I had hope, and was on the edge of my seat. Man that was a great 30 mins.

Now is not the time to hate or feel like crap (well excpet youse guys that laid out too many cold ones)....success is earned, and clearly this team will have to put in some hard time, but they will make us proud.
