From the names brought up so far Cumbie, Magee, Meachem, Napier, Norvell, Smith (in no particular order) is my short list. I would be ecstatic with any of those. Anyone else and I think it'll be a subpar hire.

Jason Candle at Toledo is a great up-and-comer. I really don't care for Debord unless its in some capacity other than offensive coordinator.

Some of you on the Napier bandwagon need to calm down. I'm pretty sure he's been a coordinator one year, and got a coach fired. He's a PHENOMENAL recruiter and that's why he has a job.

Tommy Bowden. They did set a school record for points his first year as the OC, but struggled the second and TB got canned. On second glance his tenure at CU wasn't as poor as I remembered but its worrisome that he hasn't been a coordinator in six years.

Thank you. This is how you end up losing your job. This is a bussiness and if Butch wants to hire a friend instead of a guy that can get the job done then he might not be here to tell the tale. I know that may be a stretch for some but Butch is 12-13 at UT and he needs a big year 3 for him to cement his ability to coach.

He was OC at Clemson during the 2009 and 2010 seasons under Dabo. Tommy Bowden was canned during the 2008 season, Napier was still a position coach then and Rob Spence was the OC.

Been hearing chatter that Scott Frost could be in serious consideration. Really hope this is true cause the guy knows how to score points on offense really well.
