Update OC board via Rivals

Mike DeBord

Billy Napier, Alabama WR Coach

Doug Meachem, TCU co-OC/WR Coach/Sonny Cumbie, TCU co-OC/QB Coach

Bill Legg, Marshall OC/QB Coach

G.A. Mangus, South Carolina QB Coach

James Coley, Miami OC/QB Coach

Mike Norvell, Arizona State OC/QB Coach

Chris Kapilovic, UNC co-OC/OL Coach/Gunter Brewer, UNC co-OC/WR Coach

My first two choices off that list would be Norvell and Cumbie.

Agreed. Will be hard to get Norvell. My dream hire is if Azzani leaves to take HC job we hire Smith from Arizona and then hire Weist or Nappier for WR. Would be hard to draw nappier other than for a OC job though.

Why not TCU guys? That team seems to be an offensive juggernot

Also bill legg is a guy that would be awesome. Marshall was very balanced and he developed Cato into a pretty great QB. Not to mention they were very high in PTS and yards per game. And yes I understand that Marshall hasn't played the best teams but he still made them a potent offense.

I believe if we were going to give to job to Azzani, we would have already gave the job to him.

Maybe a Co/ OC type deal may be in the works if DeBord is hired. Azzani as passing game coordinator and debord as running game coordinator. I honsetly wonpuldnt mind this but not a preferred deal. Would rather have Cumbie, Laffouer, Legg, or one of the Arizona OCs.

please don't be Debord, please he is a proven loser

Head coaching record:
Year Team Overall Conference Standing Bowl/playoffs
Central Michigan Chippewas (Mid-American Conference) (2000–2003)
2000 Central Michigan 2–9 2–6 6th (West)
2001 Central Michigan 3–8 2–6 5th (West)
2002 Central Michigan 4–8 2–6 5th (West)
2003 Central Michigan 3–9 1–7 7th (West)
Central Michigan: 12–34 7–25

:crossfingers:

I think it's ironic that the last 2 years that Debord was at Central Michigan, one Butch Jones was his offensive coordinator.

What is your reasoning for picking Cumbie over Meacham? I don't know much about either I'm just curious. Does Cumbie have more influence in TCU's offense then Meacham does?

EDIT: just saw that Cumbie deals with QBs i'm assuming that's the reason

Some of you need to research how CBJ operates. (past hires) That tells me it want be Debord or Z for Tennessee OC.

Heard on another thread that Durden OC at UTC has been reached out to by CBJ. Young successful FCS coach, so I'd be willing to accept this hire. Better than DeBord IMO.

I wonder if having DeBord in is nothing more than a courtesy to an old friend. Maybe helps him raise his profile if he's trying to get back into coaching.

I hope he does not take UTC OC!!! Although they do run a really similar offense to tennessee with Jacob huesman very compatible to Dobbs with the exception the huesman runs for up the middle like a FB. They could do a lot worse than Durden

Wouldn't mind if Butch hired Hand from Penn State. He would help the line and Butch has a background with him.I don't see Butch hiring anyone that he doesn't have familiarity with. we really need to hold on to coach z as well
