It looks like Predators defenseman Seth Jones will switch sides of the rink and pair with Ryan Ellis when the latter returns from his lower-body injury.
Jones is a right-hander and has played on the right side for most of his first two years in the league. But he did play on the left a fair amount in the early portion of the 2013-14 season.
He was on the left side again Wednesday during a number of practice drills, with Ellis also a right-hander on the right side.
"It was a little confusing at first because I've been playing right all year, so there were a couple times I felt myself drifting toward the right and (Ellis) was like, `Where ya' going?' " Jones said. "But we'll be fine in the game. I just have to get used to it a little bit.
"It has some pros and cons to it. I've played pretty well there. Sometimes you get caught in situations where you have to use your backhand a little bit more. But other than that, I honestly think you can see the ice a little better because you're more opened up to the middle. I'm pretty comfortable with it."
