Seems to me that Edmonton has the best ice in the league (appears exceptionally dry and solid). This lends itself to a crisp game in which players can freely showcase what makes them the best in the world instead of worrying about settling the puck down after every pass. You would think every arena could find a way to do this in 2014, but I guess we're just not there yet.

Craig smith had to be the most excited to get out of the 'Trotz Way'. The guy can score goals and is finally allowed to do just that.

Forsberg again. 4 PP goals in the last 4 games after only 2 in the first 9.

I know I said Craig Smith was probably most excited of anyone to get out of Trotz's control. Mr. Forseberg was right behind him. I'm sure age has some to do with it, good for the kid.

They're scoring slightly less than last season, the top 6 is just doing a little more instead of spreading it 12 deep. The record is a result of starting a goalkeeper instead of an oil drum between the pipes.

Ok.

Anyway, big Phil with a goal and two assists tonight, while not relegated to the 4th line. Keep rolling.

2.61 per last season, 2.47 this year. Let's not pretend there's been an offensive breakthrough, the scoring is simply carried more by the top 6. Prove math wrong.

Our scoring is carried by the top 3; it's nice to have a legit top line for the first time in about 7 years, but they simply cannot sustain this pace and our record after 82 will reflect that. We should make the playoffs, but it's impossible not to laugh at the simpletons demanding "respect" for what we've "done."

Haha for Pete's sake. Why so ****ing serious?

I expect try hard from the elitist Ranger fan, but come on....

Yes, we are playing well. No, we will not finish with 131 points. No, Forseberg will not have a 100 point year. Yes, Rinne should again be in Vezna discussion.

This was a a simple statement a few posts back that, in my opinion, Forseberg definitely is showing his potential in a more wide open system and would benefit most (along with Craig smith) from Trotz being gone. I don't need math, or decimal rounded facts, or to be a "simpleton" for lauding awesome (short term) production by a young kid in the NHL.

Who decided to let Willy Daunic be a play by play guy on the radio? I like him ok as a talk show host but he seriously does not have the voice to do play by play. He sounds ridiculous.
