It's like a long sidequest. It reminded me of the mission where you take down Cerebus. You land on an asteroid and go into 3 bases (those big buildings you go into on just about every planet) take down some bad guys then go to the big main base and kill some more bad guys and then the boss.

The enemies are the Batarians, an alien race that was mentioned several times in the game but never shown until now.

You also have a few paragon/renegade choices to make, which will probably make me play through again to see how things turn out if I make a different choice at the end.

The game is what you're speaking of I assume? It is an RPG with an incredible storyline and graphics. All the action is real time. If you're looking strictly for a shooter I'd prob look elsewhere because the shooting aspect isn't anything new. But if it's story you're looking for, this is the game for you.

Well I went ahead and bought it and finished it b/c I was bored. For what you get, I don't think the price is all that bad. It's about 5 dollars. Whether or not you want to buy it is a pretty easy choice. If you like the game, buy it. If you don't like the game, don't buy it. Pretty simple. I enjoyed it.

Anyone been able to get into the game, does it get better after the first 80 hours of cuts scenes?

I really enjoyed it. If you don't like reading, you won't like that game though.

The "choose a a response" doesn't bother me, it just seems at the beginning it's a lot of running around and cut scenes with minimal action. I'm going to push through for a while and see if it gets better for me.

it started off slow for me as well when i first started playing it. the first few hours tend to drag along. it gets alot better though. trust me. mass effect is one of the best titles i've played on the 360.

As long as you understand that the game is about the story and not the gameplay as much the cutscenes don't seem so bad. Keep playing, it is a great game.

Mass Effect is like reading a really good book- slow starting out, but once you get into it, you can't put it down.
