Beat the game last night. The end boss was tough, but I took him down in one try. It was a solid 15-20 min. gun battle.

Assassin's Creed- here I come.

it sucks how you have to fight him multiple times. the second half of the last fight with seran/sovereign is ridiculous. i'm still trying to take him down.

Tip- stay behind the big wall of the back side of the courtyard you fight in. Use it for cover when he throws 10,000 missles at you, then jump out and pop him a few times, then repeat. Stick and move.

That's how I beat the bastard.

i finally beat him last night. i had tried taking cover behind the big wall but it didn't really help me any. i just kept moving around and shooting and i finally brought him down. great game though. the only mission i didn't really care for was where you had to find and save liara (the scientist)

won the limited collector's edition from a Sci-Fi giveaway.

Outstanding game. A definite must play if you're an RPG fan and you have an XBox 360.

I actually didn't have any trouble with the second fight...the first fight however took me forever

i actually had to fight saren 3 times throughout the game since shepherd didn't talk him into blowing his brains out in my playthrough.

His last incarnation is definitely the nastiest.

It kinda threw me off when he capped himself. I was like, wtf, no huge end fight to cap off this great storyine? Then all hell broke loose. I killed him first try by just moving around alot. I had played as a Sentinel and had Medic maxed so a regular heal revived my cronies when they got splattered by the rockets.

Lalia, the biotic, was the most useful by far.

Missed quite a bit of achievements playing the first time though as a Sentinel since I was only limited to a pistol. Playing it through this time on Hardcore as a Soldier.

Nice. I never even used Lalia, only Ashley and Wrex. The plan was they would die instantly...then I would hide with a sniper rifle and spend an hour trying to kill the harder foes.

Wrex was awesome- I got pissed when I lost him.

***Spoiler****

No, Ashley shot him in the back of the head because he was about to turn on me. It happens at the chem plant were you discover that there might be a cure for the Krogen genocide. My charisma wasn't high enough to talk him out of it.

Ah, I never got that outcome...I talked him out of it but I always figured if anyone killed him it would've been me.

The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack will be released to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Monday, March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, and will be available for 400 MS points. This is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.

Bring Down the Sky includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.

Bring Down the Sky contains approximately 90 minutes of heart-pounding action and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.

Thanks UTSTU, didn't even know they were planning this. Also, if you're a really bad scifi nerd like me, Karpyshyn is coming out with another book that takes place, obviously, between the first and second games. If you haven't read revelation, it's not too bad of a read and gives you some insight into the world of Mass Effect a little more.

Cool.

Even in the game, the shear amount of information about Mass Effect world that is available is staggering.

You could spend 3 or 4 hours just listening to and reading the game's background material.

In case anybody forgot, the new mission pack is available on Xbox Live. I'm not sure if it's worth the 400 pts it costs. It's short and nothing really new or challenging as far as gameplay goes, but I love Mass Effect so I enjoyed playing through it. If you play it on the easier modes with a leveled up character it will probably only take you 45 minutes to complete.
