I think fouling only down 3 with over 35 seconds left is stupid. Syracuse did that last night. The way teams play final possessions theyre likley to heave up a last second shot - low percentage. Id rather take my chance than put them at the line only needing to hit one to go up 2 possessions.
Down two possessions with 10 seconds left - they were done. They shouldnt have put themselves in that position. They were only down 1 possession but decided to foul and went down 2.
I didnt see it but they are making a big deal out of it. More so his interview than the actual decision.
Prediction. Next the twitter verse is gonna be flooded with video of another coach doing the same thing and not getting questioned for it.

I was pretty impressed with Leonard Hamilton and have even been wondering where TN's last 25 years would have turned out had he been selected over Wade. But he looked foolish and clueless when he was asked about giving up versus Michigan instead of fouling down 4 with 15 seconds left. Seminole Nation must be roasting him today (if they care about basketball).
I think the players are the ones that quit and Hamilton is not talking about it so not to throw his players under the bus. During the telecast you could see him waving and jumping around after Michigan's last rebound. Looked to me like he was trying to get them to go foul. But they just stood around and called it done.I was pretty impressed with Leonard Hamilton and have even been wondering where TN's last 25 years would have turned out had he been selected over Wade. You might be thinking about an assistant coach jumping around. Hamilton stood there like a statue on that final rebound.
