Official Lane Kiffin thread 1

kiffin has NEVER had a losing record as a head coach . Now thats despite USC being on probation. How many NC teams has Kiffin been on staff for 3 OR 4 more than i can remember. yeah this guy hasn't proved anything as a coach that's a joke. The only people that say these things still have hurt feelings over him leaving when he did . No wonder the media makes fun of our fan base and calls us hillbilles and trailer park trash. That is not who we are but we have to learn to move on from somethings and not paint that image of ourselves to the rest of the world. Let the hard feelings go. Nelson Mandela said "holding a grudge is like drinking poison and hopeing the other person dies"

So it takes a spin doctor to make accomplishments for him, no verifiable facts? That should be enough to take him off the list right there. Fulmer was fired so that point was useless.

You can't name 1 real failure as a HC, but I'll give you 2012. He's still had more successes than failures.

Witch Doctor ok with Gundy, at least Currie tried to go big. But if he says no. Kiffin. Period

BNL

* side note, Kiffin went real dark on saying anything today, wonder if thats an agent saying..."cool it" ? just a thought

Took the most talented team in the country, preseason ranked #1 team in the country to an impressive 7-5 record in 2012. Lost to a 5-7 pack 12 team the year he was fired. Been fired from every HC job he's had except UT and made a mess of it. Tell me his successes

He took the USC job not knowing the sanctions and the loss of 30 scholarships. He did pretty well considering that.

Hey Witch Doctor could you put a hex on Currie and Haslam? Maybe on that makes their husk shrivel up or fall off or both.

I been tweeting like a mofo doing your work for us :)) told curry to go hire kiffen and then take a hike and told kiffen how can you get excited playing North Texas for a championship come back to Tennessee and you can spank Mullen and Smart and Saban on the reg.

This is ridiculous. Stop messing around with people that don't wanna win championships. Gundy seems ok with being mediocre at Okla St. Currie If you offer Steele, or Brohm, or some other coordinator before Kiffin you might as well leave town tonight.

Screw around, Tennessee. This is what Arkansas thinks of Lane Kiffin. "Kiffin rehabbed his image enough while serving as the offensive coordinator at Alabama to get a head coaching chance. He was a candidate for several Power 5 head jobs last year before going to Florida Atlantic, and if he can have success with the Owls this year, Arkansas may be willing to give him a call. FAU is currently 8-3 and in bowl game position."

If they don't pursue Kiffin, I might be done for a while. He's by far the best candidate and wants the job. Offer him the damn job.

Kiffin needs the spotlight. He isn’t there now and tries to create one with teeets. The sports world would be all over a return to UT.

WE are fixing to let our stubbornness flush everything down the toilet. WE jacked around now and i bet we would have to pay Kiffin alot more money today than we would have yesterday. To Offer gundy 8 million before you make a reasonable off er to kiffin was bad business absolutely foolish. Now you will have to pay even 3rd tier coaches ridiculous money to get them.

At this point I just don't care anymore. We cant sink any lower in the eyes of college football and the media. I have been a Vol fan since I was 9 and Bill Battle was coach. I have never seen our fanbase hurting so bad for change. We need something positive something to give us hope. If it means bringing Lane back then so be it. At the very least the media circus would be entertaining. If he wants the job then give him a chance. He cant do any worse then the last two morons we had!

Just gonna keep this at the top. All of you who posted in this one, let's keep it at the top. If he would seriously come back, then let's get the deal done and let the healing begin. Are you listening Currie?

Total bs. He got fired for losing with very talented teams. He lost to a 5-7 team his last year.
