Official Lane Kiffin thread 1

I have been a Volunteer since my conception in Pickett State Park in 79. Not a day has gone by when I haven't thought about my beloved Vols. I have a severe mental illness and have nothing but the Vols to live for. I was last excited about the new season in 09. I have dreaded the ensuing years. I was never angry at Kiffin. I am certain that all of us would leave any college to coach UT. No difference. I am 100℅ certain that Kiffin can and will win the SEC within 4 years. I am equally sure he will get a top 5 recruiting class this season and have a winning record year 1. I don't know of any other coach that we have a chance to get that can accomplish that. Lane Kiffin is the best coach not in Alabama. I will personally bet my life on Kiffin having success. I will be glad to be euthanized by my fellow Vol fans in precisely 4 years if we are not in ATL. I am not kidding about this. GO VOLS!

I agree with you about Kiffin being the coach who might be willing to come here and would turn TN into a serious SEC threat again. But we dont need to act like a battered wives club.

Most people that don't want Kiffin back are upset with the way he left it seems. For me, it was what he did while here. He took down the Volunteer memorabilia, brushed off the General and tried to make Tennessee into a USC east. That, to me at least, is unforgivable. :hi:

Times wasting. Recruits need to be recruited. Kiffin needs to head our way. You want to win, then send Kiffin back to Tennessee.

I di not believe Kiffen should ever coach here again. And yes, part of that is how he set us back for years. Beyond that, he gets himself disinvited every where he goes.Great recruiter, not a great head coach. Sound familiar?

If Kiffin didn't leave us with a leaky bag of s**t w/ NCAA, he'd be much more welcomed back...but he didn't so he isn't.

Most people that don't want Kiffin back are not impressed with his HC failures and know social media is a bad place to hire a coach.

Took the most talented team in the country, preseason ranked #1 team in the country to an impressive 7-5 record in 2012. Lost to a 5-7 pack 12 team the year he was fired. Been fired from every HC job he's had except UT and made a mess of it. Tell me his successes

So his failures are still less than those of Fulmers?

The guy did a damn good job while he was here, took a 5-7 team to 7-5. Got Crompton drafted, managed the situation at USC pretty darn well considering the sanctions and scholly reductions. Hayden screwed him at USC.

So it takes a spin doctor to make accomplishments for him, no verifiable facts? That should be enough to take him off the list right there. Fulmer was fired so that point was useless.
