You truly can’t make this stuff up. Hiring Kiffin would be a fitting end to the craziness of late. At this point I’m all for it.

Somebody remind me again of how successful Kiffin is as a HC.

If we are basing this off his OC abilities and recruiting bona fides then there are other candidates more worthwhile to look at. Other candidates may not have HC experience, sure, but we KNOW Lane Kiffin sucks at it.

He’s been fired twice and quit once as a HC. And the quitting incident torpedoed UT.

What is the appeal with this guy? He is a twitter ranger and creeps on coeds, not to mention completely screwing over UT. No thanks.

Offensive minded coach, great QB developer, great recruiter, will win games. Young. High ceiling. Has swagger. Will troll OTHER fan bases which will be quite entertaining indeed.

Won’t go 4-8, won’t speak in dumbass clichés. Won’t be connected to Sandusky in any way.

Knows the expectations in Knoxville, will bring excitement and not be a life draining tick ie the past decade of TN football minus 2009.

Saban quit LSU and Miami. Kiffin is the modern day Spurrier. Maybe you have no humor?

He is a good coach, players love him, he's a great offensive mind, good with qbs. He was young, still is, but I think he would handle everything more professional this time. I know it's hard to believe, but He's really what we need. He did fine for what he faced at USC and UT. won 10-11 games in 2012. He's doing fine now. He can recruit. There is a lot to like about him

Seems like the majority on here would like to give it a try with Kiffin now but some of the comments to a Kiffin post on the Tennessee Volunteers football 247 Sports on Facebook yesterday did not seem that way.

It was a very misleading title however saying Kiffin is not waiting by the phone for us when I personally think they misunderstood his tweet. He’s been tweeting a lot about the vols and he said he wasn’t waiting by the phone because he has a big game to prepare for with his current team. Doesn’t mean he won’t return the call

People wanting him back is embarrassing!!!

This shows people have no respect of program and most desperate!!!

He came here with no respect and he left with no respect for UT or it's fans!!!

He then made fun at us while at his new jobs (usc and alabama)
He has not changed, in fact even at his current job (Florida Atlantic) he implied taking international safety for point spread purposes!!! Does that sound like grown up?
