Official Lane Kiffin thread 1

Kiffin would be a huge win for the Vols and should have been the choice over Schiano to begin with. Absolutely makes sense.

Lane has always been on my list. I know he left in a very odd way, but he did tell people that was the only job he'd take if it became open. Also, he will not have Layla to dog our state. For God's sake he game his son the middle name Knox... .

The stench of the desperation is clouding this fan bases judgement.

Kiffin is good coach but a lousy person. He's right where he deserves to be.

He would be a great coach, but it can’t happen now. After we ran Schiano off because of morality, we can’t turn around and hire Kiffin.

Have all the Miles supporters forgotten all the bone head clock management plays he used to pull off routinely? We don't need another game day idiot coach.

Kiffin had our team over-performing for the talent we had. He took a head case QB and made him pretty good in less than 1 year. We were competitive every week. I think he has matured since he left for what was always his dream job that was dumped in his lap. Are there many of you who would have turned down the same thing ? I don't think he would have the same flamboyant over the top attitude about recruiting. He is a coach who takes the players he has and makes them better not worse. That would be very refreshing. Having a team that can score points would be nice as well. Tired of having Qb's who can't pass, receivers who can't get open or catch and a line who can't block. I think he can fix all of that.

Uhhh yeah it can. Chasing tail, drinking booze, smoking weed is a little different shade of Grey don’t you think?

If you want Kiffin, you need to email the UT president DiPietro (utpresident@tennessee.edu) as well as Mr. Currie

At this point, I would hire him over the other remaining candidates.

Of course I am no AD. I would have offered 6.5 mil to Chip Kelly after the GA loss.

Watch this two minute video and tell me you don’t miss this kind of energy in Neyland. I was there that day and can tell you I had chill bumps on my neck that reminded me of the late 90’s when I was just a kid. Heck, I get chills watching it now!

2009 UT-UGA Tennessee rubs it in against UGA - YouTube

I know he left us, and not in a nice way but the guy has the ability to get the best out of his kids. They love playing for him!

I will buy my tickets back as well. I guess people who are insisting Kiffin would do and act the same must be the same as they were 10 years ago. My guess is a lot of people did things 10 years ago that they don’t or would not do today.

Please hire Kiffin. He took a dog sh*t roster to Tuscaloosa in 2009 and almost beat Saban.

Louisiana Monroe did it in 2007. If you're basing a coaching decision hire on a moral victory, you're doing it wrong.

So, don't hire a guy for ethical/moral high ground but have no problems with hiring Lamo again. Interesting.
