Official Jon Gruden Thread XXVII

Just putting random thoughts together.

When Currie was hired, he was read in to what all had transpired during Butchs early tenure here including the Title9. He has since saw Butch in action. He decided that it would probably be inevitable that Butch would leave or have to be let go. He did not extend him last year. Butch fired his agent and hired Sexton because his early interactions with Currie told him that this was coming and that a heavy hitting agent in Sexton would be needed to get him his money when the time came and to find him another job.

The look on Curries face after Bama and UK looked to me like he was thinking "Oh how I would like to end this clown, but I dont have enough to do it the way I want to yet".

Prob not anything ground breaking to you all. Just random thoughts.

If JG is in fact at the game tomorrow, I wonder if a half empty stadium and some fans booing would really bother him? Just some thoughts.

I personally think JG is a seasoned vet of the game and knows what a losing season like this does to the fan base. If nothing, from his GA days with Majors he knows what a satisfied fan base and a full stadium feels like.

So, Gruden is coming to #EmptyNeyland and Vol fans ITT have already admitted they will boo "at the top of their lungs" when Butch is announced.

....yeah, that will leave a good impression.

So here's a crazy idea, it's just a rumor that Gruden is going to be at the game right?

What if the AD put that rumor out there to try and counter act the whole empty neyland movement?

Get people who are clamoring for Gruden to show up to possibly see him, when in actuality he's not going to be

The rumor was out like 2 weeks ago. Before Empty Neyland started

Even if gruden doesn’t come all of that is a bad idea and some just don’t get it.

I understand trying to make a statement but when you run the risk of hurting the program more than helping it that is a change we can’t take right now

One I've been pondering: What if Big Jim Haslam wants Gruden to UT and Jimmy wants him for the Browns...Could that be the struggle we're hearing about?
