He's got a crazy amount of very prime spectrum that the wireless companies would love to have and no announced plans for using it. Keeps buying more too. Lots of speculation about what he's going to do. Yes, it's worth major $.

Just imagine if the net neutrality motion falls through, how much it will be worth then. An unimaginable amount. Money is not an factor in this and the BOT knows it. He probably owns the VC firms as well. This is exactly how Bill Gates made a large majority of his money. He made up a company that is ran by a small group of people, and that company invest in a number of different things ie up and coming tech companies, real estate, etc. Ergen is spending money, but he knows it'll come back to him.
