Official Jon Gruden Thread XXVI

Literally no concrete evidence of any kind of internal "power struggle" or that Haslam is/was/will be anti-Gruden. That family has donated countless millions of dollars to the university and athletic department. Kind of ****ty to turn on someone like that because of some very vague, unsubstantiated, and untrustworthy internet rumors.

You have a good point there. IF...IF...it were true we lost out on Gruden becuz of Haslam needing to be in control at the expense of the football program...THEN it is a HUGE deal.

I feel the exact opposite, he's getting info directly from the AD and is running their narrative. It's hard to doubt it at this point. He's maintained each time Butch was supposedly done that his sources were telling him Butch would continue coaching. Each time he's been right.

I think he does the same thing I do... watch the Sunday morning Butch Jones show, see if Butch shows up, and waits for Kesling to say "thanks, see you next week!"

Which is, I guess, the same thing as getting it straight from the AD now that I think about it.

Anyway, it's infallible. So far.

I’ve had Direct TV for 15 years, but if they pull this off, I’ll gladly switch to Dish. Anyway, the Vols are about the only thing I care to watch on TV anymore.

I switched to Dish about 3 years ago because customer service is a million times better than Direct TV. Direct TV could never get my bills right.

I'm not someone who's gonna call for a boycott or anything, but I swear if we don't hire Gruden I will never spend another penny at a pilot. I just could not further support the selfishness and self-righteousness of it all.

Someone mentioned, in an earlier post, that Pilot has been sold or is in the process of being sold. That's just something I read.

Hey! Where Pawl Finebaum go? I was listening to him and reading this thread and then soccer cut in.

That happen to anyone else? Is he on another channel?

I said "If he wants to pull it off enough" obviously in 2012 he didn't want it enough$$$$!

I understand.... but my reluctance is I just didn't see that kind of push made five years ago, maybe it was they were naïve, and maybe he learned this time.....

The Haslam's are not push overs and we will see who wins.... but like I said with what started this discussion I believe it is 60/40 with Haslam on the winning edge

He was part of the push

My question is we’re they all “fed up” then? Had the crap really hit the fan. I know they delivered Gruden on a platter but were they ready to fight? It seems like years of planning and effort have gone into this push and apparently the changing of the guard is imminent. 🙏🏼
