Well...the s*** will soon hit the fan. I just got a message that confirms the battle lines are drawn...Haslem/Currie vs Ergen/AA. This will be interesting for sure. Ergen is pro Gruden...Haslem is against Gruden because he will lose power. Haslem bull rushed Currie so he would keep power. Ergen has put one h*** of a deal in place for A A as well as bringing in Gruden. Big Jim is hanging in for all he is worth. He wants to keep Butch till year end. I know most feel Bev is the hang up but I trust what I was told. She is on board cause she gets tons of money for academics and could care less about athletics. I got a message about an hour ago that this has come to a head and we will know soon what direction UT will go. Ergen is pro Vols and is trying like h*** to change the s*** show we all are witnessing. It's the old guard that's killing UT athletics. I feel very confident in putting this out there. I know my source better than anyone in this world. He is closer to me that my own brother. If Ergen wins I feel we will get Gruden...Haslem wins...we get coach Google his name.

No way Haslam wins, strength in numbers both in money and academics. If academia is on board, we got Gruden. Here's to hoping it is what it is.

I don't disagree, but Hyams gets info straight from the AD so things he says regarding timing seem to be coming true. When everyone said Butch was going to be let go after Kentucky and were talking about a Monday press conference that would be Butch getting fired, Hyams said he was going to coach vs Southern Miss and that turned out right.

Most Vol fans get their news from 99.1/990. The narrative on there is what the AD wants out there for everyone to consume. I guess to me the big takeaway from it is that Butch getting removed in-season is at least a possibility.

The only things I will not post are things I have been expressly asked not to repeat or things that would hurt our football program. I think for the most part all of in here are on the same team. Sometimes people have a need to pop off as a defense mechanism. Honestly who can blame them I certainly don’t. We have all suffered with the garbage that has transpired with our program. Interesting point is I was finally called back by one of my AD contacts around 1:00 today to firm up my financial commitment for stadium renovations. If you haven’t seen the plans for the South end zone you should check it out. It is really nice.

I know for sure Gruden wants back into coaching and wants back in NOW. He also wants the UT job first. He will pursue NFL jobs if he can't get what he wants here. He isn't going to come here and not have enough control to not have to deal with petty stupid s*** that a head coach at a top tier football program should not have to deal with. Ergen has put together a package that gets Gruden what he wants and gets the AA what they want. If we don't get Gruden this time it will never happen because we would have to hire him from and NFL team and that won't happen. Hyams also did say (correct me if I'm wrong) before the UK game that he would have to win out to stay. He lost to UK...now he has to win out again?

He said if he wins out it makes it more complicated to fire him after a win. Not that he would for sure be retained. Jimmy does say that it's possible that he will be at 7-5, he said he would for sure be at 8-4, which is now impossible.
