Just caught up. Wow. Lots going on. It all seems to line up with what we've been told. I can see why folks are getting down, but I really think these are things we already knew:

-ergen has a giant plan that checks boxes across the board. And he has most of the boosters behind him.

-Currie was looking at BATNA. That's the "other" coach.

Otherwise, one of the only pieces I get from AV's post is that Currie may not know what we know, yet. He may not know that these boosters are ready to walk.

The one thing that has hung me up about the Beav since he started posting was his join date 2 years ago with a couple of posts back then. This has been going on for years. I think we should all be flattered that they included us in their plan to save TN football.

I feel good knowing that the ball is in ergen's hands.

Several years...
A LOT of planning and behind the scenes work has been put into this.
Details.

Hyams latest, if Butch wins out, firing becomes complicated regarding potentially firing someone after a win. If Butch loses again, he will be removed at that time.

Not sure how one more loss is worse than the Kentucky loss, but oh well.

Hyams and most other media keep saying this (if he wins out he stays...)

yeah, how well has that gone so far

    Athletic Committee passes motion. @wbir

Motion on the floor: Recommend to approve more money for phase 1 from 106 million to about 180 million

Either every single bit of information we have been told is a lie as far as the boosters coming together and threatening to pull donations, or this is your sign that.........................#soon

Hyams is a douche. Jones won't be here next year. It's really not that hard to fire a coach with a 5 year body of work that is subpar in just about EVERY area aside from recruiting. And even that is falling apart.

I don't disagree, but Hyams gets info straight from the AD so things he says regarding timing seem to be coming true. When everyone said Butch was going to be let go after Kentucky and were talking about a Monday press conference that would be Butch getting fired, Hyams said he was going to coach vs Southern Miss and that turned out right.

Most Vol fans get their news from 99.1/990. The narrative on there is what the AD wants out there for everyone to consume. I guess to me the big takeaway from it is that Butch getting removed in-season is at least a possibility.

Some info I found, this is not my info. I asked before I posted. I not sure about accuracy, but the guy always seems to know what he talking about. PLEASE TIFWIW.

Well...the s*** will soon hit the fan. I just got a message that confirms the battle lines are drawn...Haslem/Currie vs Ergen/AA. This will be interesting for sure. Ergen is pro Gruden...Haslem is against Gruden because he will lose power. Haslem bull rushed Currie so he would keep power. Ergen has put one h*** of a deal in place for A A as well as bringing in Gruden. Big Jim is hanging in for all he is worth. He wants to keep Butch till year end. I know most feel Bev is the hang up but I trust what I was told. She is on board cause she gets tons of money for academics and could care less about athletics. I got a message about an hour ago that this has come to a head and we will know soon what direction UT will go. Ergen is pro Vols and is trying like h*** to change the s*** show we all are witnessing. It's the old guard that's killing UT athletics. I feel very confident in putting this out there. I know my source better than anyone in this world. He is closer to me that my own brother. If Ergen wins I feel we will get Gruden...Haslem wins...we get coach Google his name.

I think I'm just starting to understand the true scope of what is going on here. Ergen is a man ready to change the entire landscape of the university in every possible way. Incredible and necessary if we want our state to be the very best.

This is where people find all of this hard to swallow, including me. Obviously everyone wants it to be true, but..it's a hard sell.

SIAP, but after the latest revelation, was Bev’s veto of the outsourcing the other day the first step in the “FU” to the Haslams and a message to them that Ergen wears the bigger pants now?

Now you guys understand why I was “very very happy” from my post earlier this week.

Sorry to everyone for not being around much but there has been A LOT going on. This week has been an utter **** show....on so many levels.

Their has been hesitation internally to let butch go early due to the reputation that UT has gotten in that regard externally to the coaching community...however I think the hand may get forced on this one. And when I mean let go I mean publically let go....lets not mix that up. He is gone no doubt about that but the timing thing is really playing havoc on this whole process make no mistake about that.

I was delivered either an incredible smokescreen yesterday or something that tells me there is trouble in paradise on the gruden front (lets say it went along the lines of currie reached out to xyz coach to gauge interest what are your thoughts... I won't name the coach as I don't want to throw gas on that log) . I can't tell which yet but I have been on the phone all morning with one of the larger boosters (in ktown) discussing our wonderful browns owner who literally could screw up anything he gets involved in so that tells me all I need to know on that front. Now take all of that and couple it with the next important piece of info.

I was then informed early today of a meeting that will take place that I am supposed to attend (can't give timeline out) that will be about a very large donation opportunity for some folks in attendance. Now I can't imagine in my right mind that they would approach anyone about a meeting like that unless there was something extremely positive was going to happen.

I think the band is about the start playing...the biggest question will be is it who we want playing or not.

Hyams also did say (correct me if I'm wrong) before the UK game that he would have to win out to stay. He lost to UK...now he has to win out again?

Complete transformation.

An offer that cannot be refused.

Surely this doesn’t have anything to do with his bowl game bonus? What is another hundred grand or two.

But, if it is, and he refuses to waive it, he might have to lose 7.

He is a telecommunications and technology guy. He sees what needs to be done to bring UT to the forefront ( and make academia happy)

As a 3rd generation alum whose dad lived in South Stadium Hall with a future hall of famer, I'm excited about the implications for football, obviously... I was a student from 96-01. As a mother of 3 potential future alums, I'm beyond thrilled at what this means for the future of our children. I'm kind of stunned almost silent.

And he alone would have no trouble out bidding Haslam should it come to that. From what I've gathered, Anderson, Thornton and other VFLs are aligned right behind him and are ready to drop the hammer. Either comply or we're done.

With all the scheduled renovations, combined with the current AD circumstances, I don't see any way UT let's Ergen walk.

Another gem from another source:
I have been telling you guys for years that Gruden a was done deal the last time until Haslams put their greasy a**** hands in the punch bowl. This is exactly what they did the last time and for exactly the same reasons- control control control.
