Chances are that OV's message had nothing to do with the Chancellor's message. It does, however, seem that a "treat" was handed out by the Chancellor today.

1. I only went back 3 months but no tweet from Hubbs not football or PM related.

2. Working condions stay improved at a higher cost. Plus you have to validate that cost to someone.

3. Never paid much attention to dates..irrelevant to me. Battlefield conditions are constantly changing for various reasons. Also, "the enemy gets a vote" in every outcome.

War is won with overwhelming firepower and intelligent thought

Maybe, but it'd be awful hard to sway people to get rid of someone that brought in the guy who turns it around.

If athletics money is up, which in turn can give more to the AA side of things, which in turn could cause applications to the university to rise, which in turn make the university a desirable place to be.

While you could argue he wouldn't be untouchable, it'd still be pretty dang hard to get people on your side to get rid of him if the university as a whole is benefiting from it.

Plus wouldn't Haslam want the glory for bringing in Currie who turned everything around UT to make it the place to be academic and athletic wise in the SEC?

I'm willing to bet that we will never truly figure out this connection, but it is reasonably clear to me that a back is being scratched.

My post were not meant to be about Bcarter and his connections or that he isn't a good guy. I am convinced he is a good guy and does have some connections. I'm just saying there is more smoke out there than just the Beaver. I haven't mentioned anything I have heard because I have zero connections to any real heavy hitting boosters. I know a few that are boosters but not high up the chain. Actually, I believe my best source is not even a booster at all. I have known him for over 10 years, he owns a hunting guide service in Tennessee. He has taken a big dog booster at UT hunting for over 20 years. The first time around in 2012 things were close. He said the man told him this time that we were going to go all out for Gruden. He told him this over a month ago and the last time I talked to him he said he had not heard anything else so expected things were going good. That was almost 2 weeks ago when he told me that. I haven't heard anything else to this point. He did say that in the conversation with him over a month ago that this Booster told him Gruden was far and away choice number 1 and that if there was a number 2 that most of the big dogs wanted Frost. Vol fan my entire 52 years on Gods earth, this is just what has been told too me. It's the truth believe it or not I cannot control that. SOON PLEASE SOON!!!! GBO!!!!! GET IT DONE!!!!!
