There is a real lull in this thread right now. I need some news for the blood flow on the Grude rocket, fake or real I don't care, improvise.

I’m not trying to ruffle any feathers, but can someone tell me how anyone could possibly be vetted on a message board? I wanna believe it too, but I don’t think anyone really knows but Currie.

Thank you for some common sense. Think about what you are rightly saying. Why would someone in the know even jeopardize their "in the know" position for a message board?

Where is the accountability? The rationale? Trust me this is all hogwash. If any of this were remotely true, you don't think other legit connected leaks would have sprung? From Hooters? Other sponsors? All the leaks that would be coming out of ESPN? Good grief.

Paul F just said he had a hard time believing Gruden was a serious candidate and just cut the caller off..

Was a weird response action I thought, but maybe I'm just reading into it.

Gruden was seen in Kansas City today. Eric Berry and Dustin Colquitt play for the Chiefs.

Soon.

Here's a positive post to lighten the mood in this place.

The media and our rival fans are starting to realize that Gruden to Tennessee is a real possibility. They've been mocking us for even suggesting it up to this point, but their tone is changing rapidly as more information comes out. They are going through what I like to call, The 5 Stages of Gruden Grief.

Stage 1: Denial - "Gruden will never coach at UT! He has a cushy job at ESPN, why would he ever leave?"

Stage 2: Anger - "Only an idiot would think Gruden would ever come to UT!! Stop talking about it and move on! You're making our fanbase look stupid!!"

Stage 3: Bargaining - "Why would you even want Gruden anyway? He hasn't coached at the college level in X years and has never recruited. His record in the NFL wasn't that great. Why don't you guys go after Dan Mullen or Jeff Brohm?"

[YOU ARE HERE]

Stage 4: Depression - "I can't believe they actually got him. This is terrible for us. How will we ever compete with the almighty Grude? It's not fair!!"

Stage 5: Acceptance - "We will just have to live with the fact that Tennessee owns the SEC now and wait for Gruden to retire. I just hope we can give them a good game and not get blown out again."

I'm patiently waiting for 5...puppy and gator fans are stealing my lunch money right now

There's about to be a new bully on the block

He was referring to his own confidence, not the deal directly.

"And now you know why I am so confident."

What do you want him to say, "And now you know why I am so the deal is done"? That's like a really bad Japanese movie translation.
applaud for trying but JFreak gets bored in the Wendy thread and enjoys coming in here trying to ruffle feathers :good!:

Perhaps, but perhaps you aren't thinking about the penalty for breaking a draconian NDA. People in the position to execute those types of deals are pretty good at keeping things tight, especially with huge liquidated damages clauses on the table.

Just imagine that this clause is in the NDA:

"In the case of any violation of this agreement made the Receiving Party will be forced to pay the Disclosing Party liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000,000 (one million) without derogating from any other remedy that Disclosing Party is entitled to under any applicable law."

Its all a lie. Gruden is not coming to Tennessee. He's staying at ESPN. Forever. I'm an idiot for being in this thread. You're too smart to be here.

Bye.
