The problem isn't just injuries. Granted we have a lot, and that many injuries will affect a season's outcome. But it seems this team withered to FCS level with its injuries.

That means Butch's problem is either evaluation of talent or development of talent underneath the starters. He has several great recruiting classes where he ostensibly got really good players. He either chose poorly or is unable to fully coach/develop the players he recruited.

Add in class attrition as well (self-induced IMO)...look at all the former Vols around CFB right now and think how much quality depth that would give us.

Currie NEEDS the big hire more than anything else and the big hire is Gruden. IMO there is too much circumstantial information pointing to the Gruden hire.
