Ainge said he'd entertain cash bets from confirmed people that Gruden WILL NOT coach at the University of Tennessee.

I'll take a ban bet with Ainge, Gruden doesn't come, I'll stop posting. Gruden does come, he stops broadcasting bull$h%t.......tell that to the BIG BOY, see if he is man enough to bet that!

The thing that's worrisome to be is that if Gruden has to be courted and convinced to take the job, doe he really want it? I would think if he was "all in" then all these seemingly small potatoes type things wouldn't matter if he really wanted to be coach at UT. If we land him, I hope he heart is truly in it and it isn't just about money, control, etc...

I think any high level professional like a CEO if you will, will want full control to ensure they are successful.

How is Gruden trolling the fan base ? No one has asked him and he is not gonna comment on it while Butch is still coach. Ainge is being dumb here.

The same fanbase of the team that gave him his start in coaching? The same fanbase that his wife was a cheerleader for? The same fanbase that his own son is a part of?????

Makes complete sense Ainge! Hope your "mutual friends" don't pass that info over to JG. Because he's making him sound like a total douche canoe
what does that have to do with anything?

Little off topic but if Gruden is hired before the Signing Day Period, do you think he could flip Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields considering he has his own QB camp?

Recruiting wouldn’t take much of a hit as some of ya’ll think.

At least we've moved from "no chance" to all of this.

Per Beaver, who we are all hanging on as the truthsayer in this process, Gruden already agreed, and we just had to get everyone else on board.

So, if you believe that (which I do), then his bit from TOS sounds like more like a controlled narrative change than what actually happened.

I mean, either case is fine, since the end result is Gruden to the Hill, but just putting that out there.

Personally, I'm not hanging on anything that guy says. This has always been and always will be about whether Jon, and no one else, truly wants the job or not.

Erik Ainge is absolutely bashing any possibility of Gruden coming to TN on his show right now. He said he knows personal friends oh Gruden who told him last night there is ZERO chance he coaches college. TIFWIW

I think at this point and time, he has no other choice but to shoot the rumor down.

I don't like Ainge, at all. But why would he take this bet? His job vs your volnation handle lol come on man

You might have given your personal percentage, but what’s your feel for this happening? Looking for some positivity today.

Don’t hang on any little nugget of info on a day to dat basis. Just know these 3 things and then sit back and enjoy the ride.

1: Butch Jones is 100% gone.
2: Jon has privately told people that he would have a hard time turning down coaching at UT. Has expressed interested as well.
3: It’s not the same old clowns at the circus vs 2012. This group will get it done and make it happen.

He will go down as one of the greatest heroes or trolls in Vol History. I posted yesterday about overhearing two stock boys in the grocery store discussing Beaver, Curry and Ergen. And this was not in Knoxville!

When I read this last night I thought you were joking! Lol.

He would easily get both, along with a few others trying to get in with us. Pick of the litter.

Well, good sir, I wish you well in the wars to come, but kindly, with all due respect....GTFO! Dilly Dilly!

GTFO yourself. Everyone has an opinion. I had breakfast with a person that just rolled their eyes and laughed about this thread. Yea they give a lot to UT.

Everyone would love to have Jon at UT, he is just not going to coach at the collegiate level. He has been looking at NFL jobs though.
