Its Stockholm Syndrome...they arent happy with success, only continued status quo makes them happy now. Talk of a highly successful coach actually makes their blood boil.

Been long speculated DeerPark12 was an Adidas rep at UT. He always knew everything to do with uniforms and I judged was highly ticked when UT went with Nike. Hence, why he isn’t in Knoxville anymore. JMO

Which makes it odd that he would state that Hammy was getting a kickback from Adidas.

How many coaches are hired for what others perceive what they will do not what they have done. I perceive what Gruden will do a lot higher than almost all other coaches.

Here's a thought experiment to help us Grude our way through a full Monday.

Assume it's Gruden. How is he announced as coach? I know we've had MIT on record as saying ESPN will break the news. Does ESPN get a full blown exclusive announcement? Do they leak the prospect? Does Currie keep us on the edge of our seats until we see our new coach walking to the podium?

Whatcha think? Go!

ESPN will want as Big a Splash as they can get.... what venue gives them this opportunity..

I say the SEC Championship game if they had it... maybe the week before on Saturday? Maybe a Monday night football when Gruden announces his departure as well as his new assignment

This is two weeks in a row the QB Club has trotted out a coach who named these same candidates as people to look for for HC jobs. Sending a message to the fanbase?

They are obvious coaching candidates. Why would he go on a limb and predict someone controversial leaving a job like Fisher, etc?

Guys, my silence only means that I'm working. I have zero connection to this whole thing, other than enjoying the ride, and playing a little deductive sleuthing.

I got 12 new cases last week, and I've been figuring out how screwed I am (now that I've lost a week or two of work following this thread).

Speaking of my being busy, anything new? I presume all the "Givers of Nugs" are still silent? I do believe that is good news.

What was Mullen’s record against the SECe and Bama compared to Butch?

Mullen vs SEC East and Bama (the closest we can get to how he may fare at UT):
15-15 (counting next game vs bama as a loss)
50%

Butch vs SEC East and Bama:
14-19 (with 2 East games left)
42%

so he's a minimal upgrade. to me, it's like saying butch is a 7-8 win coach, mullin is a 8-9 win coach.

just my opinion.

Yeah there is something not right here.... unsure what it is... I believe the posters (insiders or outsiders) are all posting what they hear, but these are the same ones from 2012.... Does that mean they are trolling NOT AT ALL, but it could mean they have the same sources as before, and they need better ones...

Speaking of sources, has anybody seen or heard from Slice? ...

I believe both LWS and DeerPark have proven themselves to be correct multiple times and I do not question their integrity at all. I also believe AtlantaVol has proven his and I do not question Him....

I cetertainly do not question Boro, DTO, OldVol or RTV either ,... but the only one of them that has come out and directly said Gruden is DTO.... and he went ALL in at 100%...

That leaves me to trust what MIT_Beaver and Bubba as my only sources of Gruden information....... I just don't have enough information on any of them to say that is true...

Looking outside this thread...even the media is at odds... and Twitter is NO Help....so... My conclusion..

I have thrown my meter away... and all I have left is HOPE.... I Hope we land Gruden, but if we don't, It better be someone who can compete with Saban or I walk.......

Some of are choosing to remain quiet for our own good Coasty. There is no real upside to posting everything we hear, only to have one faction accuse us of being trolls or liars, and another latch on and get excited only to ride the roller coaster of emotions down to the pit of despair 15 minutes later.

I'd rather enjoy the thread and not stick my neck out at this point. That is why I've only ever spoken of the fact that the decision on Butch was made after Georgia, and the money was there for a big hire.

I'm certain others feel the same.
