Thanks for your input. I like your list minus Leach. Frost is as unproven as Brohm from what I know of them.
Hope we get Gruden and not worry about it.
Mine did that when I got in trouble here.,Someone is deleting a lot of posts.... Every time I refresh page 300 the third or fourth post down suddenly becomes the top.
Between AV, MIT, BCarter and the info I had shared with me about his buyout being finalized earlier in the week, COMBINED with Hubbs and VQ and WBIR saying hes been fired.......rumors of meetings and the AD telling the press to be prepared.......he has to be gone tomorrow.
Nothing else makes sense.
I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree it's not their decision to make. You make the call as the AD if one doesn't like it hit the road. If this is a chess move like everyone is saying Currie is Bobby Freaking Fisher because none of it makes sense. I love this thread and truly enjoy post from folks like yourself! It has made the last couple of weeks somewhat bearable but the more it goes on I simply feel like we have a very inept AD, not a master chess player...
You know what makes sense? The fact this AD is completely hopeless. There's a good start.
Jones should have been gone after the South Carolina game. Period. End of Story. I don't give a damn about how "unfair" going up against Bama it would have been for an interim. That's the price you pay, but everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE knew the outcome of the Bama game in advance. It would not have been embarrassing to any interim coach to have gone in there and gotten smoked.
But did it happen after USCe? Obviously not. And they let that used car salesman continue making a laughingstock of UT football for another two weeks. For what reason? To give him "a chance to turn it around"? Because of a buyout?
Or does the true reason lie in the AD not having a straight ****ing clue? Or even give two ****s about the state of the program? I just learned from one of my sources today that "Currie doesn't fire coaches in mid season." This coming from a guy who worked for him at K-State. He's reliable and I trust what he says.
I've lost my faith in the ability for the AD to actually do what is right. I'm prepared to get some random coach I'll have to Google to attempt to get excited about. And likely won't be excited at all. Now, I very well could be proven wrong tomorrow if the announcement is made that Jones is moving on. But it would not surprise me in the least to see him coaching this Saturday.
Makes huge sense. When Fulmer and Dooley was fired the players stopped lifting and going to class. This interim is a big deal.
This is what I recall and it is the only thing that makes and sense to me... At any rate .. as LONG as Butch is gone... I really will not fight with the when... Let Currie decide the best way to handle that .. I believe WBIR would not print what they did if they didn't think he was fired....
