TN firing coach.
Florida firing coach.
Texas A&M firing coach.

LSU and Auburn possibly looking for a coach by year end..

That is a lot of big money bidding on the best coaches available. We better get ours early or we may be left holding the sack looking at the left overs.
Can see AU as possible. LSU not so much.

Another depressing loss.

Butch is still coach.

Posters are now thinking we are stuck with BJ for the year.

Gruden isn't a done deal.

This used to be such a happy place.

Absolutely. Hubbs is who will break if when it happens. Hyams is a mouth piece. Swain knows but won’t say. Rucker is a pitbull but not good for breaking news. Travis is too wrapped up in his MSESPN battle to do anything meaningful with this. And basilio is.....basilio.

Keep watching Hubbs.

I agree with this. Would also add that I don't think Rucker would have run with his column last night without having something solid from the AD. And the binary choice of his column sets up the AD to be the hero: "you can have Butch Jones as coach or you can have a great football program, but you can't have both."

I hope.... but why?

Rucker and Hubbs are typically both very cautious to bash our coaches until they're on their way out of the door. They both have close ties to the AD, so the fact that they're openly calling for his firing may mean that the AD has made a decision.

If the “next Urban Meyer” is currently coaching, you’re not even going to be able to interview him for the next 3-5 games. I know I know...agents feelers what have you...but the INTERVIEW lands the guy. Texas didn’t even know they would have a job opening until Strong flopped against Kansas. Went and got their guy even tho LSU had a “head start”.

Well, you also have to factor into the equation that historically Florida does their coach shopping at the Lamborghini dealership while Tennessee usually heads down to the local cigar chomping dealer who smells like feet and stale whiskey and will let you pay by the week with no credit check.

Yes Ron Zook, Will Muschamp, and Jim McElwain are all winners.

Hiring a coach is mostly a crapshoot

Or it smells like Jim Beam, a urinal cake and stripper perfume......

That's why I posted last night that I thought the AD may have sent out the memo on Butch.

No Gruden sorry guys, we’ve been sold misinformation imo our insiders failed us

You've been on here long enough to know how well the "insiders" on here actually make the right predictions. Remember when they were all talking about Butch Jones last time around? No one had even heard that name till he showed up at mcghee tyson.

Zook, Muschamp and Mac are Lambos? The only thing in common is a hefty price tag.

Ok, does common sense tell you there's tangible benefit to firing Butch at 12pm today as opposed to 6pm today? Does common sense tell you that we all know every variable factoring into the decision?

Not trying to be argumentative, but come on. People are acting like because Butch wasn't Kiffined in Lexington, then the whole thing is falling apart. That doesn't sound like common sense to me.

I get patience, but it is more than not being Kiffined. Butch is basically now trolling the fan base by saying crap like he expects to have the ADs support. The AD is trolling the fan base by telling Hyams he will coach against SMU. It is like everything is hunky dory on the Hill. Nothing to see here, move along.

Head start or not, nobody out bids Texas.

The other UT is a different matter.
