Butch somehow beats Kentucky, is he still fired? I mean if all this Gruden stuff is already lined up and what not, it would be kind of odd to fire him after he won, just asking, what do you all think?

Been full of trash since day 1, but the “soon” remarks show he’s overplaying his hand

Its entertaining. Can lose anything if you have fun with it. It's not life or death ..... Just an amusing way to spend a few weeks cause it only comes around every five years or so.

I agree with this, if he beats Kentucky, he lived another week IMO. Hard to fire a coach after a win.

I’ll agree and I’m on the Gruden train. Nothing is done until it’s done and that’s not a possibility at this time, legally at least. Don’t love this but I never believed anything was truly 100% done.

I posted this in the RF. Worth repeating:

Check out the UT flags in the picture below. This is a prime example of the far-reaching influence of the UT Volunteer brand. The picture was taken at Foxy's Tamarind Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. It's a remote outpost for boaters and expats to celebrate and/or drown their sorrows. The man in the picture is Foxy, a beloved figure in the islands. Of course, the BVI was decimated by the recent hurricanes. Foxy and the other islanders are struggling to reclaim their livelihood.

I travel extensively and am always amazed at the volume of UT Vol apparel I see in places like the BVI, Mexico, Jamaica, Canada, etc... It is criminal that this fine, loyal fanbase has been in the wilderness for 10+ years.

The current administration needs to get this situation right or risk damaging the brand irreparably.

Just a thought. With KY being an away game, would that play into a decision? If someone is released before the next home game, I would think there would be a better chance of a larger/happier crowd. Just thinking out loud.

Agree with you. This gives the impression of “pot stirring”. No need to “pop in” unless there is new info. He pops in a lot to say nothing new.

That is just my $0.02.

As much as I hate to say it..... I do not see any way you can fire a coach after a win.... If he beats Kentucky, we may have Butch till LSU... I think that is CRAZY, but I honestly think that is the case :cray:

Part of my thoughts but certainly not calling anything one way or another. But it does help with timeline of after road game, before homecoming. Plus, if you did have someone on the hook, best way to downplay that is to keep your coach as long as you can without disrupting actual revenue, etc
