The way I look at things...Firing Butch does now does nothing but create a bigger mess. If JG is already on board and in waiting....then just let Butch ride it out. I am sure (guessing) Butch already knows is fate. It would be unreasonable for him not too. When was the last time a college coach replacement of this calliber was named mid-season? Im gonna guess NEVER. Firing him and having Hoake take over isn't fair to Brady or the rest of the staff. Especially if Brady does well and then Gruden comes in and tanks...then we will be what ifing that for years! I am sure Butch does not want to make the situation any worse or stranger than it all ready is. Is it possible he is totally on board with the future coaching change and is just going to hand things over when the time is right (end of season). Lets remember...Urban Meyer wasn't hired until after the Michigan game. Announcing Gruden now would just throw a bunch of logistical knots in things. I do agree that everyone's silence is interesting. PJ Fleck is not going to leave Minnesota after one year, Stoops aint gonna coach, Brohm aint gonna leave Purdue after one year, and Frost leaving would be pretty crappy also. If Gruden was off the table...I think there would be some pretty believable leaks to that effect at this point and lots of them!!

Every legit insider on this site and TOS came out several days ago and said Gruden was off the table. There were a lot of leaks, but most people believe this was a "misinformation" campaign.

She seems to be associated with the Ridge, so as someone who spent 4 years there she is solid in my book.

Yea she seems solid in my book too but some guys on here are selling their souls for a bit of recognition from her.

Nothing against her or her posting just laughing about how thirsty some people sound responding to her.

Anyway back to the important stuff. I need more Grumors

this between the UK away and Southern Miss home game.

anybody think there's validity to this, as in Gruden wants Currie to tough it out 'til he finishes with his son's team?

If Butch is let go after the Kentucky game, as I have been told by my source (and have posted it several times) this timing fits perfectly with the Nov 3 date for the Grude's son last game.

By the way my source did not say it would happen but he THINKS that is when it will happen and has been saying this for several weeks

I still don't see why ESPN would want to get rid of Gruden

I can actually see why they would want to. I don't believe anyone other than tie watching Tennessee fans tune in to MNF just to see Jon Gruden. ESPN can hire someone for his job for about half the salary. Wouldn't move the ratings meter either way in my opinion.

ESPN is definitely taking measures to cut costs. NFL is definitely down and not just because of anthem protests, etc. Their next step “should be” to cut high priced contracts. People that will watch nfl football will continue to watch, no matter protests or high profile commentary.

She doesn't walk on water guys... She knows just as much about what's going on as us. Everyone keeps tripping over themselves because she's a woman :eek:lol:

No offense SFD just find it funny how everyone wants to keep impressing you

Not tripping over ourselves, but the dedication she's showing to collecting and disseminating the info is remarkable.

Has less to do with her "being a woman" and more to do with what she brings to the table.
