I can't sift through all these threads for that just happened to see someone had mentioned honors/nooga and a golf trip of some sort to LA so figured I could at least spot check that bit for folks.

We are as confused as can be but holding out hope... anything you can offer?

Im not familiar with a university setting, but it's not uncommon in industry, especially in a higher level or unique role. You can't fire your CEO without some sort of backup plan. Maybe not a written offer, but at least a verbal one.

I could see that scenario with Gruden, as long as an agreement has been reached between Currie and Jones. What Conley is saying actually makes very logical sense and matches what either Larry or JAV said.

I don't. Not in a formal sense from UT.

Now I could buy a non formal discussion with the deep pockets and if that held up a formal offer after the position is open.

He answered 3 very specific questions about the Honors. Been a ton of speculation about his exact relationship to certain boosters.

I posted that after I had seen the list of coaches that a firm here in Atlanta had vetted as options after the UGA game loss. Grudens name was not on the list I saw...and that would have been a great diversion IMO. And I posted that he wasn't on the radar because he wasn't on the list...was bringing the info I had at that moment after that Loss...

The only thing I could conceive would be a leaked "no" from Gruden, by the AD, while the mess with Butch is handled. I can almost believe the "after Kentucky" rumors because I can't believe they would put Butch Jones in front of 100,000 pissed off fans in Neyland. Why they would be waiting is beyond me.

Main difference between VolReporter and MIT is VR would start a new thread every time he posted his "info" (looking for attention). MIT pretty much just posts in this thread. They're definitely not the same person.
