I think a lot of people that know and understand football (like Fulmer and Manning, whom I am sure are heavily involved) recognize that Frost is the next Urban Meyer.

Im not familiar with a university setting, but it's not uncommon in industry, especially in a higher level or unique role. You can't fire your CEO without some sort of backup plan. Maybe not a written offer, but at least a verbal one.

I can't sift through all these threads for that just happened to see someone had mentioned honors/nooga and a golf trip of some sort to LA so figured I could at least spot check that bit for folks.

At this point, after the last few decisions made by UT, I have come to the conclusion that they have the most pi$$ poor decision makers or they are using a Ouija board, dart board, or shaking the old 8-ball to finalize the process. Again, I may be way off base and they are actually burning incense and throwing bones. :crazy:

From the VC side of the deal, the remaining issues have been resolved. At this point, it's in the hands of the Scarabbeans. If they give the go-ahead, any problems with divisions among various factions in the UT administration will go away.
