If he isn't fired by tomorrow, I am going to be livid. I have zero interest in Tennessee football until he's gone. Pay him the damn money before he embarrasses us with more dumb quotes for the media. He has made us a laughing stock and taken away any joy I had over football. It's sad when I care more about the Titans.

If Currie is really waiting to reduce buyout money and that's the reason for not firing Butch, he needs to think about 1 thing and 1 thing only. The state of the program. Currently UT is 1 of only 2 schools that can claim they've never had less than a 5 win season. That is seriously in jeopardy right now. Is saving a couple million in buyout money worth losing that historic feat? To most of us the answer is no. He seriously needs to consider that. It trumps all reasons for hanging on to Butch at this point imo.

I wouldn't say normal, but more like numb. I hate feeling apathetic towards the Vols on Saturdays, but that's where I am...

I miss the days of when people dreaded playing us because they knew they were about to get hit and hit hard and were rationalizing ways that they could beat us.

Shoe being on the other foot sucks...

Don’t think for a second that Ky won’t play their best game of the year either. They hate us and would love nothing more than to add another L to our record.

It's deflection. I've seen it done before in big companies.. "leak" false information for a lower expectation from the people until the BIG decision is made.

When the real decision is made... They look like heros of the business.

I don't think a Butch Jones coached Tennessee is capable of beating anybody right now, including Southern Miss. We are fielding a really bad, very poorly coached football team.

True, but considering the anemic offense, I assume a losing season is a more realistic option than a winning one. Of course, that is purely an assumption on my part. Either way, he can still be let go. If needed (i.e., they get a bowl invite), then name an interim for one game.
