Even when someone brings information, I don't ask them to prove it. They only need to say they "have a source." That's how it works. Over time, some folks and their "sources" gain credibility. Rarely, however, will someone come along out of the blue and break a story. These are usually troll jobs and I have no problem calling BS when I think so. It gives credibility to my common sense BS meter.

I agree; between this guy and say LWS, I take LWS’ word every day and twice on Sunday.

Use the "Search" function up top and search by poster name. You can also click a poster's name from one of their posts and easily find more posts by that poster.

Was close with coach fulmer and assistants on his staff for several years. Still communicate with coach. Know many players and their families going back to the early 90s. Stay in contact with many.

I never post anything from a single source. Has to be more than one and those sources independent of each other. I have posted things in the last 20 years that ut has called me about. Multiple times. Stuff they didn't like.

That is my background.

Yesterday evening someone posted that they have a friend who is the District Manager for the Pilot stores in the Knoxville are. He was told to remove anything dealing with Jones. Not saying that's true, I would have no idea. Surprised that people didn't jump all over that. If true, I would expect an announcement today or tomorrow...

That’s the best you could come up with on your LONG SABBATICALS away from the board? :w00t: I can’t speak for Reader, but all I ever espoused was a fair chance for the coach we hired. Time is the final judge on success or failure and it’s verdict is rendered regardless of the talking heads squawking yay or nay from the beginning. Gonna post under this same screen name and acknowledge the good and try to understand the not so good with the next guy. Not going to let others tell me this means that and if I disagree, I can’t accept facts. :lol: This is a message board...not a think tank. We’re all full of crap. Hope you stay around longer this time Doyle...now go home and sleep it off, you’re drunk!

There's a difference in confident and cocky.

He jumps way over the line on cocky. Which does lead me to believe he has a position where he can be arrogant, cocky and brash in order to achieve results. Like a corporate lawyer or negotiator of a powerful company. His posting has a "You know I have what you need, you want what I need and I know this. You can accept that fact and will give me what I want and this will go much easier" ring to it.

I agree. But that's assuming that his pilot affiliation is strictly contingent and tied to his contract with the university. It's possible pilot could pull their sponsorship unilaterally.

I think those adds have an official UT logo on them. Who knows, I think today and tomorrow could be very telling.

A few of us have said the thought immediately following UGA is Bama +1 more loss means Butch is out. When he's out will be based on a whole lot of factors, and some simply are obvious to we fans. He's gone either during or immediately following the season. And that's based on real inside information, but my only source is now completely silent.

Strictly based on personal thought, I wonder if there is still a substantial booster or two hesitant to really open the wallet for BIG, and Currie will let it get worse to force them one way or the other.
