No. But a less contentious conclusion to his UT career could possibly be negotiated for a reduction in the buyout.

Edit: this would not be a situation like at Oregon State where the coach just walked away from his entire buyout. However, Butch wants to be as employable as possible, and he may have finally realized that he is hurting his own resume the longer he coaches at Tennessee.

Jones is ruining (or has ruined) his own damn career, such as it is, with his asinine euphemisms, endless excuses, "champions of this or that", red faced tirades, and just plain bad coaching.

Jones has undermined himself - the local sports media has given him a pass until the last couple of weeks. Give that nonsense a rest.
