Official Jon Gruden Thread XVII

As I said in another thread.
If CBJ is not fired tonight......I don't think he will be.......earlier I thought it was possible but not anymore.......He will not be fired after Bama......a game everyone gives us 0% chance to win.......that brings us to Kentucky.

Kentucky is a must win for CBJ. Imo the next loss after Bama will end it. If he wins out, which is highly unlikely, it will be after the last game.
I have my reasons for believing this.

Just my opinion, but today's game was the must win and it didn't happen

I trust you.
It just seems risky with the decommits.
I hope they have a salvage plan in place

When it’s all said and done I would love to hear the reasoning for letting this implosion carry on so long. I’m sure there must be reasons, but I can’t see them

its just business...IMO. Getting in and out of contracts is never quick or easy. Lots of attorneys, bantering back and forth, complicated contracts and decisions. Negotiations, searching, communicating, trying to keep it low key, etc....

If they got anything done in a month, that would be warp speed...again, IMO.

I think he's fired after the bama beat down . make him coach through that. I got the feeling he doesn't want to be here anyway.

Seriously, if I have to read ONE MORE FREAKING TIME that Jon Gruden won a Super Bowl "with someone else's players," I am going to go postal. Please do a little bit of research before you spout nonsense. Gruden completely retooled the Tampa Bay offense and he did it at least in part by signing a bunch of free agents to the team.

Ok.. settling this once and for all..

Corn Pops are #1. Followed closely by Honey Smacks. Honey combs are 3rd, after that it doesn't matter. You guys need to get outside your cereal comfort zone.

Honorable mention to Blueberry miniwheats.

Carry on..

Soon

Ps.. still have heard anything back about borrowing a booster.

If true, this will hurt the program. There will be less and less fans in the stadium and there will be more recruiting defections (which could be salvaged with the right hire). However we will be even more of a laughing stock. I do not see a benefit to Jones remaining as the coach - the stench is foul enough now.

Currie is not in trouble. And Wes is kinda a dipstick for suggesting he is.

Well what He actually said was he had gained a lot of credit when he supported the fans with the lady Vol's issue and had built a lot of credibility but would certainly loose it quickly if he waited until November to make a move.... Bobby Scott was on air with him and seemed to agree as well iirc

I haven't seen the local media turn this quickly.... last week they spent their time defending Butch (even Wes)

A cereal list without Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a list I ignore.

Lmao fake news

There was even a fully staffed night shift!
I was checking the phone first thing in the am just to catch up
Most fun I’d had on volnation.

I remember, I would pop into the night shift from time to time. Who were the main posters in the night shift?

No, the guy has never coached or recruited in college, he has been out of coaching for a very long time, he couldnt develop guys very well he won the super bowl with somwbodys else's roster but when he built it with his guys they couldnt do anything. I know I am in the minority but I think we will be in big trouble if grudge does get the job

Yeah, I'm with you I just don't get the fascination some of our fans have with him. I know he has a great personality and is likable but like you said he has never coached at the collegiate level.

Despite winning a SB ring he was considered to be a average coach maybe above average but nothing spectacular he was (5-4) in the postseason.

I just have faith that this is Tennessee and they can go out and get the big name who has coached and succeeded in the college ranks.

Most of this does not line up with what I was told tonight.
