Peyton is the key to this even being possible. He is no longer distracted by NFL and surely is the reason the boosters and AD are pulling on the same side of the rope. Having said that, I'm as nervous as hell over feeling of fragility of the situation with Butch still coaching.

What if Gruden is a bust? What makes him a sure thing at the college level?

I’d rather have tried with Gruden than have tried with an up and comer and be back where we are now. Maybe Gruden does fail at the college level? But at least I know we are willing to make a splash and try to get this program back to national prominence where we are suppose to be. Can you imagine the hype we would have? I’d take Gruden all day.
