If it is true that the AD is removing all internal political barriers
If it is true that the money, regardless of the amount needed, is pledged
If it is true that Currie has a big swinging dick and a monster ego
If it is true that the #1, #2, and #3 targets are Gruden, Gruden and Gruden
If it is true that Peyton is acting in the capacity of Sheriff and is helping us woo Gruden to UT and not to Indianapolis

Then I put our chances at 80% of landing him

Even if all that is true, Gruden still has to say yes. That is probably the least likely part about all of this.

Gruden at the Outback bowl with a Ut polo on was no accident. He knew exactly what he was doing. He is a very smart man.

Gruden with the UT visor and face paint for the Florida game last year was no accident.

Gruden's numerous mentions of Tennessee and the love he has are no accident.

It's going to be an absolute shame of the highest order if Jon Gruden isn't our next head coach.

Listening to the other thread whining about our schedule next year hurting us in getting a good coach. That mindset is what has us in the spot. I guess some that haven't been watching the Vols long enough have already settled to their comfy position on the Vols. Man do we need to show them with this hire, PLEASE UT do the right thing and show folks that we can land a top coach. SOON!!!! GBO!!!!

We don't and aren't settling for mediocrity. This is a movement. I want Gruden, but if it isn't it better be the next best. I have faith in this admin they will get it right.

I don't have any sources. Just a feeling. He's done too much in the public eye to show he is interested. He talks to Peyton and Johnny frequently. Currie is supposedly in love with him. It is not far-fetched at all.

I did not call it far-fetched...... YOU DID THAT! I said the chance is Slim.......... That is based upon the fact that He has a lot more to offer us than we do him....

I AM ALL GRUDEN ALL THE TIME!!! and if you don't know that you have not been following this thread nor have you followed the previous threads from 2012... If you check you will see that I posted most of my post count in them in support of hiring Gruden...

From my source, I believe we backed off Gruden last time, Not he backed off us..... I hope I am correct but I am also trying to be honest...

Not everything you is a sure thing, to many moving parts and to much can go wrong.....

Again... I am not dealing with a gut feeling here... but what I have been told by a donor from last time and hinted to this time
