Someone with GIF making talent need to redo the Al Pacino speech in Any Given Sunday, with Grudens face talking to UT players. That would be epic.

I'm disturbed that people think him going 8-4 is a good season. Georgia didn't think 10-3 and 9-3 was good enough out of their 2nd best coach ever. They moved fast and are sitting in position to make the cfb playoff.

Don't let the train completely derail when you figure out the conductor just can't drive it. That's why we have been stuck for so long. We let things go completely off the rails before we move. The teams that don't, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Georgia etc are rewarded for making moves.

I was told in the beginning "there is a path that would allow Butch to retain his job" others have been told that "Butch believes there is a path to retain his job, but he is gone no matter what!"

Like you, I think it would be very difficult to fire an 8-4 coach, but thing it less likely, as I see 4-8 or 5-7 more likely with a 6-6 possible

While there may be a "path" for CBJ to save his job, I think he is unable to find, or stay on that path. It would require at least 5 more wins, which is beyond his current skill level.

I think there was a meeting of the minds (that matter) after the UGA game, and the result of that meeting was "Let's start looking for a new coach...we ARE going to need one." So while it is numerically and hypothetically possible for CBJ to save his job, it is all but impossible given his track record to this point.

JMO.

Go Vols.

At this point, I think Butch would have to beat Bama to save his job. Which thankfully, will be impossible
