He had kids in high school and wanted to be with them. He has 1 in UT now and anther that should be attending UT in a year 2. It wasn't the right time for him but now is. Thank you for your support. GO GBO SOON

Seems to me you guys would want someone that actually wants to be the head coach of the Vols instead of a guy that's been out of coaching for a while and has turned down the opportunity.

We can ALL see the negativity on other threads. Here, we don't want it. No one wants to respond because we truly don't want the negativity on this thread. If it's your hearts desire to get an answer to your question, why not ask it on another thread?

If Gruden is such a hot commodity and great hire, why is he not coaching? He could be winning National Championships or Super Bowls the way you guys hold him up on a pedestal.

This Gruden man crush stuff is ridiculous.

Uhh..maybe because he is one of the highest paid sports announcers in the world right now and there are only a handful of teams pro or college that have the resources to pay him what he makes now.
