It has become an obsession with me. I'm losing sleep over it and that shouldn't happen. Lol. I just want Rocky Top to get back to prominence and I know Gruden is the answer. I can't take another decade of suck.

You and me both man. I miss the 90s and early 2000s...that seems such an awfully long time ago

Btw if any of you have a close enough connection to Currie, tell them to tell him to call on the fan base. If money is a hang up in the least the fan base will respond. Lots of ppl would donate if we knew it was going to the right hire. I'm not going to throw my money away for another Butch or Dooley though. If the entire fan base can together and donated even a small amount it would be massive. One thing about UT is fans always respond.

I feel your pain. I'm in my 40's, my daughter is 10 and I took her to her first game last year. She enjoyed the atmosphere, got to shake hands with Dobbs, Tuttle, Kamara and countless others. I explained the traditions and she had a great time.

I want to pass this along to her the way it was passed to me. I want her to be able to mention great teams by the year like our 98 and 99 teams. To be able to refer to players like the Cobb/Webb. I'm just sick of this program being listless with no real direction. At this point being a fan is not a choice for me, it is ingrained in me, a part of me like family. I just want to be confident in my team again!

Maybe we could shut the state of Tennessee down for one day. Everyone call out tomorrow. Gruden would see and be pleased with us.

I'm 36 and have a daughter on the way. I want her to grow up seeing a championship team. I want her to enjoy watching great teams so bad. She already has several Vols items waiting on her. Hopefully she can be proud to rep them. I want this to happen so bad and last at least 20 years.

"I want to be clear that I am in the I'll believe it when I see it boat in regards to him being the HC here. What I do know is that there is a clear plan being put together that will make him seriously consider coming. If he doesn't, it won't be because UT didn't put forth their very best effort.

Chucky is meticulously organized, has his own idea of exactly how he would run a hybrid power spread, has a list of guys he wants as assistants if he ever were to make the leap into CFB. He already has a plan for how he would want to recruit. He's put all of those things together over time for a reason.

Any back channel communication has not been initiated by anyone in the AD. That would be disastrous. If/when Currie gets involved, alot will have already been laid out. This is where Hart failed the last time and any opportunity for a deal went south.

He still sees himself as a coach. He doesn't look at himself as a member of the media. His circumstances and priorities have changed and most importantly, our circumstances have changed since last time around. IMO, this is the first time in over a decade that there's a real opportunity to hire a program changer due to the popularity of the new AD with all who are involved. I want it to be Chucky but if it isn't him, I'm confident that we will still continue fishing in deep water."

Good to see they are actually trying to come up with a gameplan to land a big fish like Gruden.

This makes me happy again. Freaking emotional roller coaster up in here.
