Sounds like he is messing with you. He didn't tell you Gruden was not on the list either. Sounds like there is still a chance. SOON

We all hope. The reason I am skeptical of so much is I obviously know who my contacts are and they are rooted deep and have been for many many years. That's not to say others don't have better contacts but I'd be surprised if anyone is saying too much. I would guess that only about a dozen or less people know exactly what is happening.

What other coaches have you mentioned to him? That may give us an idea.

Yeah, that's all smokescreeny. If Gruden really wasn't on the list, why could he just say that he isnt? If you asked him if Kiffin or tressel is on there, would he still say "I can't say"?
