It’s why I hunt. Lately, about the time the season starts the predictable nosedive it is time to start hunting. Doves, deer, ducks, and geese. It gets me almost to signing day.

Perhaps mistake was not the best choice of words. How it was handled might be better. Obviously, there are differing opinions on the topic and my intention was not to bring up that debate. The point was that Currie is taking advantage of his past experiences and applying them in a positive way.

Common sense tells us that...as long as he still has the job...he has a chance to retain the job. I'm not saying it is realistic, because he will be lucky to get this team to 6-6 if he finishes the season. But, if he somehow gets this team to 8-4, I just don't see him getting fired. 9-3 and a bowl victory might get him an extension.

All you wrote, including the last is pretty much what I heard immediately after the SC loss. The one key is giving Butch just the right amount of rope.

I'm with you brother. I love UT and supported them even when it's not much fun, especially living in Bama for 3 years. But another ridiculously mediocre hire and I think I'm done. I'm hanging by a thread now.

Lose decent to Bama and win the rest, Butch stays. Don't think anyone expects it to happen though. However, if it does, it would be reasonable to bring him back.

Let me just say I sincerely appreciate and understand your frustration with the past hires by the administration that was endorsed by the boosters. However, the Tennessee football program is made up of more than the two groups I just mentioned.
I am a VFL regardless of the mistakes we made and will make in the future. With all this said, if you give up on Tennessee, I wish you well and please don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

May I suggest you go cheer for Saban you would certainly be happier.

Exactly where I’m at. Homerun or I’m done.

Homerun = Gruden/C. Kelly (tier 1) or Patterson/Peterson (tier 2)

Anyone else and I’m out. No Mullen, Fuente, Frost, Durkin or any other of these other names tossed about.
