1. Butch is done, just a matter of timing
2. Money and other obstacles have been removed and they are going after a name coach
3. I will be happy with the hire

Refused to give me a name or any hint and I have asked several times

That is all I know...... my hope is its Gruden!!!!

If most of the insiders' contacts are saying the fanbase in general will be happy with the hire I have to believe it will be Dan Mullen. Kelly and Patterson may be unrealistic. Alot of the fanbase are unaware of guys like Brohm and Frost as far as the legitimacy of their candidacy. All hope for Gruden though!

And I'm not alone in that thought process.

Oh I think we could do better. I just think a good majority of the fan base would be happy with that hire. Above all else at least most wouldn't have to Google his name. Personally I'd rather have Frost if the primo names turn UT down.

Is he tone deaf or stubborn? Surely someone (coach, staff, friends, admin) have told him about some of his sayings or like the trash can thing, who didn't know that was a bad idea? Surely someone gave him fair warning. Maybe?

Why would we be happy trading a coach that can only get between 7-9 wins per season for another coach that is content to get 7-9 wins per season and isn't recruiting worth a hootie darn?

No, many would not be happy with that kind of hire. I'd rather see a Frost or Norvell hire than someone who barely scratches out a winning record in the SEC.

Freak's server is gonna be on fire once Butch gets let go or at least this thread. I've always predicted after the Bama beat-down, but a 'Cock loss could do it too. It does surprise me that DTO and Boro say he's gone even if the stars align and Butch goes 9-3. I'm expecting 6-6 or 7-5.

Oh how I've missed the Grude times...glad they're back. I'M IN!
