If they want to piss off the ones that buys tickets, hotels, concessions, parking, and countless other income streams, that would be the way to do it.

Sure there is. I don't think he can do it tho. And, anyone that wants to stand on Tn getting Gruden, I welcome all bets. I didn't have to pay for lunch for a month last time. I won't again.

That said, what about Mike Bobo? Ga fans would hate it, he can coach and can recruit with anyone. Pruitt told me himself Bobo is a top 5 coach. Pruitt would be a homerun in coaching and recruiting, he would have to cover his tracks...ahem.

This is my thinking, I think Manning draws from the NFL and it will be a NFL guy. Worked for Michigan. Also why I think Cooter gets a LONG look.

No thanks to Bobo or Pruitt. Don't want and most of the fan base would be infuriated by either hire. I think fans would rally around Cooter, but it still scares me because he's unproven. While I think he would do well, I just don't know. We need a home run hire this time. Anything less could be devastating.

I have one source.... he played for Bill Battle and was not a well known player.... he has made a lot of money and is a substantial donor ..... not near the Thornton level or anything like that but substantial.... he told me in search before last that we would hire Kiffin long before his name ever came up, he said Charlie Strong would be offered the job while I was still screaming Gruden..... here is what he told me this time

1. Butch is done, just a matter of timing
2. Money and other obstacles have been removed and they are going after a name coach
3. I will be happy with the hire

Refused to give me a name or any hint and I have asked several times

That is all I know...... my hope is its Gruden!!!!

sorry man but multiple people who are considered insiders are saying that currie has the ball rolling already and that butch knows hes not invited back. I've heard that gruden may not come and all that stuff but this is the first to where they are unwilling to fork out the money for his buyout in which I've heard that money is no longer an issue

Maybe that's all they know...... Currie seems to be handling things a lot better than Hart.

What I think he means is like sure, there's a path. Just win out the rest of the season. It's a path. It's just not anywhere near likely path

As I can figure this seems to be the only thing even close to any discrepancies in what has been reported.... that is amazing and totally different from the last time

Only way I see Butch staying is if he miraculously pulls out a win over Bama.

Honestly I think that's the only way he pulls the fan base back...

With that being said, id still want him gone because I would know deep down it was a fluke and someone spiked Alabamas Gatorade.

That is almost verbatim to what my Lettermen contacts (Dickey/Battle/Majors-era) have said.
