Because none of the "insiders" that have posted in the thread actually know who is on the list. They have specifically said that the people who know the list are not divulging that information, but are telling people that they will be happy/impressed. If you believe that these posters are insiders (some of them have a history of being pretty reputable) then it sounds like the big time powers are playing this very close to the vest. That should be encouraging, as I think it shows Currie has more of a handle on this thing than Hart ever did.

I don't know if he's even on the "list"...but he would be the unifying hire we need, and I'm rolling with the possibility one more time, if only for the fun if it.

I believe there is a list, don't know who's on it, but it would make sense to say Gruden is not on it even if he was the top candidate. This way it would be easier if things were to fall through. Another thought, why would someone tell Atlanta Vol who's not on the list and no one who is on it?

Yep...appearing to get spurned by Gruden a second time would likely be something they want to avoid.

It doesn't matter what actually happened last time...only what it looks like.
