To get Gruden or any other top coach they are going to want control as well as money.

Reportedly the table was cleared of just those kind of impediments in a meeting last weekend. We'll see....sounds like they are ready for a big hire though.

No coach outside of maybe saban has control of compliance. We should give them a very, very big budget for whatever coaches and support staff they want and let them have full control of those hires and fires though. No reason not too, it's their program, their job, and their reputation on the line so they should have final say. Like Parcells says "if I'm doing the cooking, I'm gonna buy the groceries"

May Gruden's first decree be twofold:

• Return of black cleats/white socks.
  
• The "woo" being forever banished from in-stadium singing of Rock Top.

Worrying about gimmicks is what got us imto this mess to begin with. I want someone who knows how to coach at a championship level and could care less about the uniforms.

Texas A&M has been looking for a way to fire Sumlin this year

They are wanting results. PSU was about to can Franklin last year now he is the toast of the town.

Outside of the ucla game sumlin has done a good job there this year with the frosh QB.
