He already works his butt off. Gets up at 4am everyday, goes to his office and watches film for 16 hours. The notion that some people have that he spends all day on the beach and flies in the day before his Monday night game is laughable.

The guy has an EASY gig and is viewed across the country as an expert
Why would anyone give that up to go work their butt off and get ripped no matter what daily?

Seriously think about that and answer

Because he loves UT football and it breaks his heart to see it in the shape it is in. He will take it upon himself to fix it because he is the only man that can. Or they are going to give him a boat load of money. (that's all i can come up with)

At heart he's a football coach. While he has a good job maybe that's his passion. He wants to coach again.

That's not to say he's going to be UTs guy but the idea there's no way he would coach again because of his current job doesn't altogether add up either.

Eventually, he may want to coach again.

If Currie and our boosters are really serious about making a "splash hire", he may make more coaching at UT than he would at ESPN.

Who knows, he may want to take on the challenge.

His name alone, would bring in 5*s players easily so look at all the talent he'd have to work with? Not to mention Tennessee recruits itself.

The College Sports Headlines would be out of this world if Gruden chooses to coach again at the college level.

I guess it would depend on whether he prefers an "easy gig" or the challenge of competeing against the best. Any coach worth having wants to compete.

I also believe that if he happened to choose Tennessee, it is not like he could not get back into broadcasting down the road. That job will be there for him.

Personally, I'd rather have Patterson, Kelly, or Miles. I honestly thought Gruden was just a running VN joke. I don't think he wants to coach again, especially college football.
