According to you, sure. I didn't need you to give me a number to know where you thought the chances were.

Do you believe Gruden was seriously considering the UT job the last go around or did you believe the stories from credible sources were false?

We hated on Butch because he was less qualified for this job 5 years ago than he is today. If they roll another chump out for approval it will likely garner an even worse response this time.

Well, it was Butch, the mid-major coach that Dooley boat-raced in Neyland. Most did not hate on Butch, but rather Hart and the jacklegs in charge that hired him.

And we had to make up s*** in our mind to fool ourselves as to why he was maybe gonna be ok.

Certainly not all the fans that were hating on Butch were strictly Gruden supporters. That isn't even remotely close to being correct. I supported Jones once he was named, I still had hope he was going to get it done through year 3. I started losing faith at the end of last year, but I was still hopeful with a new staff he would get it straight in a obvious crossroads year. After the UGA game it has become obvious to me barring a MIRACLE the like that we have never seen he is not the long term answer. He got us out of a hole but he cannot take us to the top of the SEC mountain, that has become pretty clear to me. GBO!!!!!

I was 100% behind Butch from day 1 and think he's done a good job of bringing us back. I went below 100% as the years clicked off and he continually made questionable in-game calls, time management issues, etc...

Year 5 and getting blasted by GA at home is where I hopped out of Butch's boat. It's not like most of the fan base hasn't been more than patient.

Whoever the new coach is will have 100% of my support as well.. just like the bulk of the fan base.

Dude has an agenda. I get the feeling he'd love for Butch to stay despite what he says. He reminds me of crunchy leb only different...

If they bargain shop this time I'm not sure what I'll do. I want to support the team but watching what they have been fielding lately is getting harder and harder.

We have the money to make a great hire, we have the facilities, we just need the administration to realize that you need to support the program with dollars and making it a healthy atmosphere for the sports programs to grow.

I hate using bama as an example but they support athletics 100%. So do the gators. Even Georgia got tired of not winning the SEC and fired Richt after multiple 10 win seasons.

I want Tennessee football to be the reason other schools fire their coaches because we whippin dat arse every year like the good old days. My expectations of Tennessee football is rooted in the 80's and 90's when if we showed up, no matter what we were ranked or the other team was ranked, you had a damn ballgame to play to beat us.

Now? You can just about call it, win or lose, and sometimes not even what should be the wins.

I have tried to be optimistic, I saw this team as having 10 win talent. And saw Butch squander it. If I was a player I would be pissed for signing up to play for him.

I'm a patient man but now it's gone too. I just want him to go away and a fresh start, an honest start with a really good coach and recruiter that makes UT relevant again. So that when Tennessee gets off that bus there is about to be a damn ballgame played.

If they bargain shop I’m out. Will abandon UT athletics and will go back to truly enjoying my weekends.

By bargain shop I mean anyone other than Gruden, C. Kelly, Patterson, Peterson.

There is no excuse as to why Gruden or Kelley can't be Tennessee's next head coach. Neither are attached to a school and only Gruden has a contract to buy out of.

If UT is really serious about winning one of those 2 should be our next hire. All it takes is balls and money, UT has the money so...
