If that is your opinion and I assume it is, why enter a thread dedicated to the hiring of Gruden....

We may not hire him, we probably will try, but we post here because we disagree with you.... do you actually believe you will bring anything here that we have not seen, heard or read before?

We want Gruden, I have wanted him to coach at UT for years and still do... I hope he does

There is plenty of fahr butch threads... With the light of all this going on... Gruden may be a real option here... I'm really hoping so. School has not been the UT that a lot of you guys remember.

Someone posted earlier in this thread that he knows him (Gruden's son) and was told by him last summer (I believe that is the timeline given) that his dad would NOT coach college football

That's sucks. You can dominate in college, if he gets the best qb in every recruiting class. I think he could pull the best qbs every year. You can't dominate the NFL the way you can college.

I get the point with some fans line of thinking about why Gruden would even be a successful coach at the college level. There are no guarantees. But look at a guy like Pete Carroll when he got to USC. He was a guy with NFL coaching experience that had never been a college head coach. Could see Gruden having the same impact at UT. Hopefully without the recruiting scandal of course.

I'll be 100% honest and brief with my take on the subject of Gruden.

I think we have a better shot at the playoffs this year than Gruden being the coach at Tennessee. Ever.

Gruden would not be a Guaranteed Savior of the Tennessee Football Program.

I would give my left testicle to find out.

I want to be in Knoxville, but my health hasn't been cooperative. Hopefully get out later today, but still waiting for morning doctor rounds to get information.
