He tweeted that Dormady had in fact quit the team and that Manning actually got involved to get him to stay. Also said that Manning had given Dormady a glimpse of what is to come and that helped Dormady make the decision to stay.

Okay. So that was earlier this week. Obviously Peyton didn't go tell QD that Gruden is coming, but he clearly said something compelling.
