Don't get me wrong, I think Gruden is very respectful of the coaching fraternity and would not blatantly interview and discuss with Butch there... However, discussing behind closed doors about a hypothetical future is another thing, as long as he is respectful of Jones in the process. It is business, most GREAT managers, AD, owners, even coaches are CONSTANTLY looking for ways to improve. Even throwing out feelers to test the waters. How would you ever have a coach in waiting or one that is hired in such a short time after a coach is fired, without having discussions before you replaced the coach?

We can all appreciate a reach around.

Blame it on the sense of impending doom that has set in leading up to tomorrow's game.
You know, I miss the old days of no matter who we played even if we were the underdogs by Friday having myself totally convinced we would win.
Now, there's no excitement. Only numb resignation to inevitable defeat.
Thank god hockey season is back and the Preds have decided to start playing the last couple of games.
