The narrative has definitely fallen this way

The ultimate would be Fulmer introducing Gruden so we can all finally unite. (dreamer scenario)

If some boosters and Dave Hart do not want Gruden, what the hell are they going to do now???

No real home-run hires remain - frankly of all the names being bantered about in the media I believe that they all amount to Dooley 2.0. I really have no confidence in our athletic administration and boosters if you are correct. We could be in store for many years of garbage from UT!

A pattern is developing here and we need a solid hire at this point and get structural things corrected and swing for the fences in 2-3 years if not satisfied. Just my opinion, not trying to settle just stating the obvious. This hire is not going to be a huge splash type hire, it's just not. I am as pissed as anyone.

Surely Butch Davis hasn't told us no though.

He would climb the fences at Neyland to coach here.

I would give him 2.5 mil a year and have a compliance guru on his back 24/7 and let him pull us up out of this.

He'll be ready to retire in a few years anyways, but he can have us competitive the second he gets on campus.

Maybe...just maybe. Gruden spoke to him about asst. position, OC position. You don't find it strange Gruden's roomate from Tennessee resigns one night and then the next day reports that the guy he shared an office with at his next college coaching job is rumored to be interested in coming here. They only report what they hear.

I'm speculating. This thing is just lining up too much like everybody said.
