How many fat girls would you willing to be seen out in public with before you finally show up with the biggest supermodel in the world? Let people make fun of Tennessee all they want because when, in the end, they have Jon Gruden it won't matter what that perception was. You think people will be saying wow Tennessee sure looked really stupid with all of those coaches that turned them down. No one turned us down it's all part of the Gruden thing.

And once again, it may not mean much to some but I've put this out there on the line. I've heard my own rumblings and am so 100% convinced that Jon Gruden will be named the new head coach at the University of Tennessee that I will retire as a poster (member since 2004) from the Volnation. I will never post again if this doesn't happen. People want to put e-cred on the line and this and that - the best I can do to help assure some of you that it is indeed happening is to put this out there. And I'm a man of my word - if it's not Gruden I will never post on the Volnation ever again.

Now that the dust has settled after last night's uproar of excitement, I gotta admit I am back to doubting seriously that Gruden is happening. The only thing that gives me hope is Boro and OV...but guys like Jay and DTO have gone missing.

At this point (assuming no Gruden) I would ABSOLUTELY rather bring Fulmer back than hire B. Davis, B. Jones or Smart. If we are gonna suck I would rather suck with one of our own.....

Come on Gruden/Hart/Boosters.....save this pile of crap.

Fulmer is in there but cannot stand the thought of turning my back on the Vols so I dismiss that talk for personal reasons.

If we end up with any of these Hart needs to go. This is embarassing.

I always thought Alabama fans were the most irrational in the country. This coaching search (and the Gruden conspiracy theories in particular) have made me change my mind. UT has the most delusional, irrational fans in the country. I love you all, and I love my Vols, but this has gotten embarrassing.

No, what's embarrassing is the appearance that we have been turned down by the coaches at Oklahoma St., Louisville and North Carolina respectively....the fans reacting to that crap is not embarrassing...it is what fans do when their Athletic Department seems to constantly drop the ball over a 5-10 year period.

I didn't hear any coaches turning Kentucky down, Arkansas down, or Auburn down. Yet we have a number of turndowns, but none of the turndowns have taken other jobs. Hart has hand picked these coaches knowing they are not going to take it, to delay the announcement of Gruden. Just wished this $hit would end.

Soddy Daisy High School football coach stepped down last week. Therefore, it appears Grider met with the AD at Soddy Daisy High School. Doesn't look like a Grider connection to Gruden but rather Grider interviewing for another high school coaching job.

He just said on the radio that he was burnt out on coaching.
